Hide The Formula From Being Displayed

In Microsoft Excel 2003, we have an option to hide a formula in a cell and make it invisible to others viewing that sheet.

Steps to hide formula in a cell

1) Click on Format menu and click Cells.

2) Click On Protection Tab and click on Hidden check mark.

This will hide the formula in the formula bar when we protect the document.

Note: If we want to hide the formula in a cell we need to protect the worksheet before we choose this option without which it will not have any effect.

Here the formula for sum of D5, D6 and D7 in the cell D8 is not being displayed in the formula bar.
