Accessing Microsoft Office Activation Wizard

Activation is the process of making a semi functional or a product with reduced functionality, into a full functional and featured product. We can make it by the use of Microsoft Office licensing methods. It will make the user an authorized user of that product and name of the user will be registered with Microsoft along with the product and the product key.


How to access Activation wizard after installing the product on windows XP:
  • Start an Office program that has not been activated.
  • Click Activate Product on the Help menu in any Office program.
  • Run the Office Activation Wizard outside an Office program. 
  • To do that Click on Start- Programs- Microsoft office tools and click on Activate product.
Note: This method is not available in Office 2007 Access, Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
 
For Access 2007, for Excel 2007, for PowerPoint 2007, and for Word 2007, there are two methods to access the Office Activation Wizard. These methods are as follows:
  • Start an Office program that has not been activated.
  • Click Activate on the Resources tab. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click program name Options.
    2. Click the Resources tab, and then click Activate.
