Delete a Page in Microsoft Word 2010

As we type data and delete it in the middle of a document or in some part of it we may need to delete the page which will be empty by deleting the data. So we may need to either move the data up, which will change all the set page alignments, borders or we can just delete the page simply which could be easiest in all versions of Microsoft Word.
You can delete a blank page in a Word document, including a blank page that occurs at the end of the document, by deleting page breaks. You can also combine two pages by deleting the page break between them.

a) Delete a Blank Page:

To delete a blank page, select the page break at the end of the page, and then press DELETE.

b) Delete A Single Page Of Content:

You can select and delete a single page of content anywhere in your document.

1) Place your cursor anywhere in the page of content that you want to delete.
2) Press "Ctrl+G" to get the dialog box.

3) In the Enter page number box, type page and then click Go To. The content of the page is selected.

4) Click Close, and then press DELETE.

c) Delete A Blank Page At The End of A document:

Enable Paragraph markers on the Home tab

To delete a blank page at the end of the document, select the page break or any paragraph markers at the end of the document, and then press DELETE.

This doesn't work if you have a table the hits the bottom of the previous page. I just spent 45 minutes online looking for a way to delete my blank second page and never would have been able to do it because apparently there has to be a paragraph mark after a table and that got kicked to the next page. The ONLY solution was to raise my table off of the bottom of the first page so that the paragraph mark came back under it. I'd still be pulling my hair out if my co-worker hadn't known this and come to my rescue.

Man, thanks for that one, I wouldn't of guessed it was the table that wasn't allowing me to delete the blank page. I was getting frustrated.

That's just because you are extremely stupid and retarded.

I also must be stupid because I still cannot delete 2 of my pages. I did the find and replace just like it shows but it will not delete anything.

Check the footer of the page preceding the one you want to delete for paragraph marks. Delete any paragraph marks following the footer contents.

Microsoft sucks just the fact you have to search to do something as basic as this - thats why professionals use Adobe products - light years ahead of Microsoft programs which hide and make simple tasks more difficult than they ever need to be in the year 2012!

While deleting a page make sure that you are in the draft view.

If you select the paragraph marker, and change it to font size 1 you can get rid of the extra page at the end of your table.

REgards,

You guys talking about the table issue have just saved my skin, thanks!

I second the thanks of everyone here regarding the table issue!

omg right there with you !!! thanks..the table thing was the prob.
why cant there just be a "delete page" button?

Tried all of this, but still didn't work. Saved the file as a PDF and then used Nitro PDF to delete the page and then convert back to Word 2010. Worked perfectly. Word 2010 works OK intermittently but is full of headaches and hides too many well used features within it's bowels making internet searches commonplace.

Many thanks to DVD.
Of all the ways I have seen described, to remove these unwanted pages forced on us by Word, the method described is the most simple and it actually works!
