Alternate Startup Folder for MS Excel

Start up folder is a place where we will have workbooks that will be opened when we start Excel. We can change the default Excel startup folder.

In Windows XP, by default it will be in this location

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLStart.

We can change this folder to our desired folder.

1) Click the Microsoft Office Button , click Excel Options, and then click the Advanced category.

Under General, in the At Startup, open all files in box, type the full path of the folder that you want to use as the alternate startup folder.
