Protect Worksheet From Being Edited

Microsoft Excel has an option to protect the worksheet from being edited. We can choose the option of formatting that needs to be protected. To restrict users to make changes we need to protect the worksheet by keeping a password and restricting the required changes.

To protect worksheet from being edited:

1) Click on Tools menu and click on Protection and Protect Sheet.

2) If we leave the boxes without any check marks, Excel leaves them for editing. All the options that are not checked will be protected with the password that we type at the Password to unprotect sheet option.

This will also protect the contents of the locked cells on the worksheet.
