Changing the Chart Type

Charts will tell us the data in a pictorial format which can be easily understood. There are different types of charts bar charts, line graphs, Pie charts etc. Depending on the data and comparison we may choose the one we want. After inserting the chart in Microsoft Power point we can also change the type of it.

To change the type of chart we need we may do the following:

1) Click on the chart we will get the ribbon with the options Under Chart Tools

  • Design
  • Layout and
  • Format

2) Click on design to get the Ribbon with options to change the chart type and data.

3) Once you click on the change chart type we get the dialog box as below

4) Say we have chosen bar graph to change the current conical chart then we will get the chart changed to bar graph.

We can even change the type just by right clicking on the chart and choosing the type.

This is the easiest way to change the type. It works even in word and excel
