Insert Symbol In Microsoft Word 2003

In documenting some scientific data we may need to insert some symbols like Alpha, beta etc to do the calculations or to show the formula. In such instances we may insert symbols from the Word's gallery.

To Insert Symbol in Word 2003:

1) Click on Insert Menu and Click Symbol

2) when we click on Symbol we will get a dialog box

3) We can also assign a shortcut key for the symbol we select. Here we see that the Euro symbol is selected. And the short cut assigned is 'Alt+Ctrl+E'. So when we press the short cut keys we weill get the character inserted.

This is possible even in 2007 and 2010 versions.
