Show Gridlines in Microsoft Word 2003

Grid Lines are lines that can be inserted to see the document with margins or till the margins and borders are set to a document. They make the document look like a Graph Sheet.This is available in all the versions of Microsoft Word.
 
1) On the Drawing toolbar, click Draw and Click Grid.
 


2) In the Drawing Grid dialog box, under Grid Origin.



Check mark on Display Grid Lines on Screen to see the Gridlines on the screen.

I didn't get it why grid lines are used in a Royce lent.
